My Story

I photograph the moments
you forget to pause and feel.

Photography found me before I fully understood what I was chasing. What started as a curiosity became a calling — the realization that a single frame could hold everything: the squeeze of a hand, a laugh that escapes before anyone expects it, a glance that says more than any word ever could.

I'm based in Des Moines, Iowa, but home is wherever my clients are. I've shot weddings in barns and ballrooms, elopements in open fields, and family sessions in the golden light of an Iowa summer evening. I travel freely — Iowa, Minnesota, and destinations across the country — because the stories worth telling don't always happen close to home.

My approach blends editorial artistry with documentary instinct. I'm not here to direct a performance — I'm here to shape the light, anticipate the moment, and let what's real unfold in front of me. The result is imagery that doesn't just look beautiful. It feels like you.

No Two Stories Are the Same

Every couple, every family, every session is entirely its own. I don't bring a template to your story — I bring presence, patience, and an open eye.

Wherever You Are, I'll Be There

Travel is part of the work, not an exception to it. I go wherever the moment is — no surcharges, no hesitation. Your elopement on a Florida beach or your backyard in Iowa is equally worth the journey.

Artistry Over Algorithm

I create images that age well — not images that perform well for 48 hours. My work is guided by light, emotion, and craft. Not trends.

Working Together

Most people are nervous in front of a camera.  That changes pretty quickly.

From the moment we connect, my goal is to make you feel like you're spending time with a friend — not posing for a photographer. Sessions are unhurried, easy, and honest. I'll guide you when you need it and step back when you don't.

What you'll walk away with isn't just a gallery. It's a record of something real — the kind of images you reach for when you want to remember who you were, right here, in this chapter of your life.
